There’s a $2,300 Fendi bag floating around with Paulette Cooper Noble’s name on it! And she won’t pay the full price for it because she knows, “You don’t have to spend hundreds to look like a million.” Although she holds a master’s degree in psychology from the City University of New York, she has truly mastered the art of bargain hunting.

At age 23, she worked at Bloomingdale’s for three hours just to get a 20 percent employee discount. “I was right out of college,” she recalls. “I don’t remember what I bought, but I remember that I spent more than I’d earned.”

Decades later, now 67, the Palm Beach resident has written the book Bargain Shopping in Palm Beach County and shared her best bargain-lover secrets. The book is her first self-published project and features 199 stores ranging from consignment to furniture outlets
